Guerrilla strategy versus tactics
You need to know the difference between the Guerrilla strategy and tactics in order to understand how to write a Guerrilla marketing plan.
Guerrilla Strategy can be expressed in Guerrilla Effectiveness (To do the right things) (as writing a Guerrilla marketing plan).
Guerrilla Tactics can be expressed in Guerrilla efficiency (To do things right) (like the implementation of the Guerrilla marketing plan).
So as a Guerrilla marketer, you should know how the Guerrilla effectiveness of your company strategy and the Guerrilla efficiency of your company tactics could affect your business to unexpected and extreme dimensions. You can understand Guerrilla Strategy versus tactics through the following diagram:
1. Non Effective Guerrilla Strategy and Efficient Guerrilla Tactics: Die Fast
Because when you put a wrong strategy (as wrong Plan), then you implemented that plan very well (as efficient tactics), this will lead you to complete and fast failure in business.
Let me explain by example: if you are a football coach, and you have the best players in the world, you created a ‘Non effective Guerrilla Plan’ or wrong plan, and your team players implemented that plan very well (efficient Guerrilla tactics), so they will lose the match easily and fast at the same time. Many football matches are having the same problems.
2. Effective Guerrilla Strategy and Efficient Tactics:
If you put a well studied Guerrilla marketing plan, and your Guerrilla marketing executives implemented your Guerrilla plan accurately, you are going to get the best results in the market.
Another Example, if you were a team coach and you put a perfect Guerrilla plan, and your team players were sticking to your Guerrilla plan and implemented it accurately, your team will be the winner team at the end of the match.
3. Non Effective Guerrilla Strategy and Non Efficient Guerrilla Tactics: Die Slow.
If you put a non effective Guerrilla marketing plan (which was wrong and non effective), and your Guerrilla marketing executives didn’t implement your Guerrilla plan in a right way (non efficient Guerrilla tactics). The results of non effective Guerrilla strategy and non efficient Guerrilla tactics won’t be worse than setting a non effective strategy with efficient Guerrilla tactics, so in your business will die slow rather than die fast.
Another example, if you were team coach, and you created a non effective strategy for a match (wrong match plan for your team) and your players didn’t implement your wrong plan (non efficient), no team work, and every team player played as they wish and on their own style, definitely your team will lose, but the results won’t be as worse as if they implemented your wrong plan.
4. Effective Guerrilla Strategy and Non Efficient Guerrilla Tactics: Survive
When you put a very strong marketing plan that will result in a high profit for your organization, and your sales person are not performing well, or you didn’t implement your Guerrilla plan as you set before; as Guerrilla marketing campaigns, Guerrilla advertisement. The results will be very small for your company, you may get a profit, but very small to let your company just survive.
Another example, if you want to get a body building, so you put a year plan to get strong muscles and attractive appearance (effective Guerrilla strategy). But when you started to implement your plan, you didn’t go to the GYM 5 days/week (as planned) and go 2 days /week. The results will be an increasing in your muscles size, but it will be small and won’t give you the results you expected because of the non efficient Guerrilla tactics (non implementing your plan).
